AND THE WINNERS ARE . . .
This was supposed to be fun. We held the 2009 SixStates.net New England Ski and Snowboard Photo Contest with the idea it'd give skiers and riders the chance to show off their skills and celebrate what they love doing. For us, we'd enjoy checking out and publishing a bunch of gnarly pics. And, when we were getting a boatload of killer photos, it was fun. But then came decision time, and the fun stopped. Picking winners from so many awesome photos was a painfully difficult process, and one we kept putting off. (Which is why we're announcing the winners near Memorial Day.) We've finally made our decision, and you can see the winners below. Thanks so much to everyone who participated and helped make our first photo contest such a success. And for those who think they have the stuff to win this, stay tuned. We'll be announcing the details of next year's Ski and Snowboard Photo Contest in just a few months.
(Check out all the entries.)

FIRST PLACE

First place (and a check for $200) goes to Michael Cirelli for his photo of a cannon bonk/wallie in a Manchester, New Hampshire memorial park.

SECOND PLACE

Second place (and a check for $50) goes to Chris Nelson for his photo of Chris Rotax off the park jump at Smuggs.

THIRD PLACE

Third place (and a check for $25) goes to Kristin Connors, who shot this big orange pow turn at Camel's Hump in Vermont.
