National outdoors
publications largely ignore the Northeast. But no place in North
America has the diversity of outdoor opportunities that we enjoy
in New England. Everyday, thousands of New Englanders take
advantage of that — kayaking Maine’s coastal islands, hiking the
Presidentials, skiing the northern peaks, mountain biking in the
Berkshires, rock-climbing in Vermont or surfing Block Island. I
created Six States to inform and inspire this population
of outdoorsmen and women. Since it started in 2006, Six States has developed into the
internet’s largest collection of New England outdoor adventure
links, the largest New England outdoor adventure events
calendar, and the premier source for original New England
outdoor travel and adventure news and feature stories. Along the
way, we have attracted an active and rapidly growing readership.
We seek sponsors who can help us grow Six States. As the
site is just beginning and has little overhead, we have
advertising opportunities for next to nothing. With ad revenue,
we can increase our web presence, boost marketing efforts,
expand news coverage and build a more interactive website, all
to develop the best resource for the New England outdoors on —
or off — the internet.
